How to Boot from USB in BIOS Using InsydeH2O Setup Utility

What is InsydeH2O Setup Utility?

InsydeH2O Setup Utility is one of the most common BIOS setup utilities. It is a hardware configuration program built in BIOS where you can change some basic computer hardware settings. Most computer models like Acer, Lenovo, Dell, HP, Toshiba, Samsung, and Sony are using it.

How to Boot from USB in BIOS Using InsydeH2O Setup Utility?

To add the USB boot option in BIOS using InsydeH2O Setup Utility, you can follow the instruction below.

Step 1. Start your computer and hit F2 to enter BIOS.

Step 2. Disable Secure Boot in the Security option.

Step 3. Click on Boot Mode in the Boot option, and then select Legacy BIOS.

Step 4. In the Boot Priority order, change USB HDD as the first one boot order.

Step 5. Press F10 to save and exit.

Now you can shut down your computer and reboot it with a USB stick attached.

If your USB is not listed as a boot option in the BIOS, follow these steps:

Step 1. Start your computer and hit F2 to enter BIOS.

Step 2. Disable Secure Boot in the Security option.

Step 3. Enable the load legacy option ROM.

Step 4. Keep the Boot Mode set to UEFI.

Step 5. Press F10 to save and exit.

Step 6. Shut down your computer and reboot it with a USB stick attached.

Step 7. Press F12 on boot to get the legacy boot options.

Now you should be able to find the USB in the list. Pick it from the list and off you go.
