Windows 10 has already been available for a month and there is an impressive growth in August. The global market share of Windows 10 has already overtaken Windows 8 and Vista, and even has overed Windows XP in the United States, according to the “Top 7 Desktop OSs on Aug 2015” data analyst from StatCounter.
Windows 10 Market Share Grows Quickly
In only one month, Windows 10 has gain 5.33% desktop market share all over the world, which tops Windows 8 and Windows Vista. Microsoft wants to bring Windows 10 on 1 billion devices by 2017 and now the market share is still on a baby step. However, now very day there are more and more users updating to this new OS and what Microsoft’s priority now is to make Windows 10 available to as many Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 computers as possible. There is big chance to achieve the goal for Microsoft.
The data also shows that Windows 7 is still the major OS on desktop, which is 53.01% market share. Windows 8.1 is 14.41%, Windows XP 9.73% and Mac OS X 8.17%.
